Our web services are intended to provide information and assist our customers and their families as well as volunteers and others who come into contact with our software.
inLeague has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for our web services and instances of the inLeague Sports Management Suite.
If you feel that we are not abiding by our posted privacy policy or want to make any other comment or correction, you should contact our webmaster and compliance team at webmaster@inleague.org.
inLeague LLC is a Delaware Limited Liability Company. More information about inLeague is available on our website at https://www.inleague.io.
inLeague authors and operates instances of web applications intended to assisst entities with management and operations. Specifically, its software is used in the operation of volunteer sports leagues as well as charter school admissions.
This privacy statement explains inLeague's policies on privacy. While inLeague is initially the sole owner of the information collected via its services, ownership and control of that information may be transferred to one or more stakeholders based on operating agreements between those stakeholders and inLeague. inLeague initially controls this information and will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. inLeague collects information from our users at several different points through our web services.
We collect e-mail addresses and other contact information from users, primarily but not exclusively through the account creation or registration process. This information is used solely for the purposes of administering our software. As a standard practice, inLeague will not initiate contact with individual persons whose information we have collected; however, we reserve the right to occasionally send out broadcast e-mail to one or all subsets of persons whose information we have collected. These communications invariably relate to the operation of our software or the status of user accounts or data. Any user so contacted will have an established relationship with inLeague and such contacts are never used by inLeague to solicit or sell sales, products, or services.
Because inLeague operates as a service provider, partial or complete ownership of contact information may be transferred to our customers, e.g. an individual sports league or a school. The identity of the entity assuming a stake in this data is always evident during the sign-up process; for instance, a user will register for 'AYSO Region 76' or for 'Success Academy Charter Schools' rather than directly for inLeague. Because these stakeholders regulate administrative access to user data, inLeague is not responsible for their use or dissemination. The ability to opt out of communication from these stakeholders is governed by the stakeholders and not by inLeague. For example, a volunteer sports league may authorize a volunteer protection and safety advocate to access a complete list of user data to perform their duties. Such access is limited to the scope of user data affiliated with the client and (generally) a single instance of inLeague software. Such access control occurs without inLeague's knowledge or participation. If you use any inLeague services, you consent to the delegation of this authority to the governing stakeholder, league, school, or entity that has engaged inLeague to operate a service on their behalf. You furthermore agree:
This agreement and waiver expressly excludes the disclosure of personal information by inLeague or its employees to any other third party not considered above. They know better.
If inLeague receives a request to halt communication, it may block one or more client systems from using inLeague software or resources to communicate with that person. It may refer the request back to the client. In either case, inLeague's role is that of a broker between the entity responsible for the content of the software instance (e.g. a sports league or a school) and the end-user.
inLeague reserves the right to use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movements, promote security, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate and anonymous use.
This privacy policy was first posted on January 16, 2017. We reserve the right to make changes without notice as we refine the policy.
inLeague facilitates registration to one or more National Association entities ("Associations") and registering a player or a volunteer establishes a relationship between the registering user and at least one Association. Consequently, once such a registration has taken place, inLeague is not able to delete an account outright, as we are obliged to retain all formal registration data indefinitely if it pertains to a player registration or a volunteer registration.
Users who have created accounts but not completed either a player or a volunteer registration may request that their accounts be deleted by contacting support@inleague.io from the email address they used to create their account.
Users who have completed at least one such registration but who still desire that their account(s) be deleted may request that their account information be scrambled and their login disabled by contacting support@inleague.io from the email address they used to create their account.
inLeague does not meet any of the three criteria defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act that would cause it to be subject to the statue. Nevertheless, inLeague is committed to transparency with respect to the data we collect, disclose, or sell. Simply put, we do not sell any personal information, whether anonymized for advertising or otherwise.
We do not exercise control over what our governing stakeholders do with your data. For example, inLeague collects volunteer and player registration information on behalf of one or more sports leagues. It is obviously the case that we disclose that information to the sports leagues on whose behalf we are operating our management suite. We do not facilitate the disclosure or sale of any personal information to 3rd parties unaffiliated with the American Youth Soccer Organization ("AYSO"), but once the data is in the hands of a constituent league, it is subject to their privacy policies under the umbrella of the American Youth Soccer Organization.
We will disclose to the National Office of AYSO whatever player and volunteer data is required by their National Policy Statements and for the purposes of registration integration. Additionally, we will disclose whatever information AYSO requires of us to the Sterling Volunteers company with respect to facilitating background checks for volunteers.
It should be evident when these disclosures are occurring. We could not operate our software without them.
For the purposes of the CCPA, we define "disclose" to refer exclusively to the data we make available to our constituent leagues. We do not disclose any Personal Information to any entities other than the aforementioned Governing Stakeholders, the American Youth Soccer Orgnization, Sterling Volunteers, or (as applicable) the Success Academy Charter Schools.

The CCPA defines various business and commercial purposes for collecting, using, and disclosing Personal Information. While we collect, use, and disclose Personal Information pursuant to our Privacy Policy as a whole, we wanted to clarify out that this includes Personal Information in accordance with the specific CCPA business and commercial purposes below:
Because inLeague holds the data provided through our system on behalf of our governing stakeholders, any concerns regarding your rights to know, access, or delete records should be sent to two places:
Be advised that the capacity of either entity to delete your information may depend on your role within the league. For example, if you ever volunteered as a coach or a referee, AYSO may need to keep your personal information on file indefinitely for legal or liability concerns. If you did not ever register as a volunteer, your league registrar can scramble your personal information within the inLeague system. In either case, inLeague LLC acts as a broker of information and cannot respond to individual requests to delete data.
Your use of the inLeague Sports Management Suite constitutes your acceptance and understanding of this policy. inLeague LLC makes no representation as to the obligations of any of its governing stakeholders with respect to the California Consumer Privacy Act. We can only represent what we do with your personal information directly.
